Just wanted to mention the conversation at Jimmy Geez following the Yankees-Reds game. Names are being withheld.
Comments that were made:
1. Should we book our rooms for Battle Creek?
2. "The GREATEST" amateur baseball team EVER.
3. Our reserve players would make the playoffs as a team by themselves.
4. We need to get our pitchers work. Perhaps we should get them on the roster of a Musial Team just to get them some work.
Oh and by the way the WINGS were delectable as usual.

I heard it too Azz...being the Vet of the team, you really should tell the younger Reds to watch what they say!

I don't know if anybody should be booking any tickets for the World Series just yet....as I see it there are 4 teams that seem to have some separation from the rest of the pack: Hackensack, RV, Cliffside and Cresskill.
Any one of these 4 teams can win the league.
Between those 4 teams it is a very close call as to who has the best chances. Anyone else have an unbiased opinion as to who is going to take the league??

oc, The only bad thing(or maybe good depending on how you look at it) is that 3 teams from our league are going to a regional tournament. the top two as I understand it are going to the AABC regionals in Albany and the 3rd place finisher is going to the NABF regional in Connecticut. So 30% of our league is going to a National tournament.

From what I understand, this will be the format this season. The regular season leader will be declared the North Jersey Majors-Met League champion.
Teams ranked 7-10 will play a one game sucide playoff game to advance to one of the brackets. (the 7-10 might change due to host team not being ranked in the top six)
After the sucide round, we will have eight teams left. Two divisions of four teams will be seeded and placed in brackets A and B.
A double elimation tournament will be held, with the winner of each bracket advancing to Albany for the Regional. The two runner ups in each bracket will play a one game playoff, with the winner advancing to the NABF Playoffs.
Bottom line is that all ten teams have a shot to travel, which will hopefully keep every team involved this season.
