Scott, Just out of curiosity, have you contacted any of the officials from the aabc about bs pool play rules? Is there any way to change that if we get enough leagues on our side?

JUST A PERSONAL THOUGHT HERE....SEEMS TO ME THAT DOUBLE ELIMINATION TOURNEYS WILL BECOME A THING OF THE PAST IN THESE REGIONALS. MOST OF THEM SEEM TO BE ADDING MORE AND MORE TEAMS, TO MAKE MORE MONEY. THEREFORE, A 12 OR 16 TEAM DOUBLE ELIMINATION TOURNAMENT FROM THURSDAY-SUNDAY WITHOUT ANY RAIN, WOULD BE NEAR IMPOSSIBLE. SO IT LOOKS TO ME LIKE POOL PLAY IS HERE TO STAY, AS LONG AS THEY KEEP THESE 12 TEAM REGIONALS AROUND.

pool play, as much as it sucks, can be ok if you run it like the nabf world series. 10 teams, 2 -5 team brakets. Each team plays 4 games, 2 thurs, 2 fri. then the top 2 teams from each braket go into 4 team double elim. tourney. with 5 team brackets very little shot of more than 2 records the same, and if their is head to head solves it runs allowed or scored never becomes and issue. the extra team eliminates the problems that arise from 4 team brackets because the extra team and game eliminates the need for any random tie breakers..
