The players on the teams in this league that are complaining, should ask their manager that attened the league meetings, if they asked any questions about the NABF.
I myself formed the NABF division so that another team from our league could compete. I set up a working arrangement with the North Jersey Majors to take their 3rd place team. Beyond that the NJM is not involved in the running of the NABF divison. We also agreed that we would not take the top two teams, and we would honor are commintment to the AABC.
All those things happened, Hackensack and Cresskill went to the AABC regional in Albany, Franklin Lakes went to West Haven. Anything that happens after that has nothing to do with the AABC, Angelo or Joe Prussin. I mention Joe's name only because of member of Teaneck sent a letter complaining to Joe about the situation. I informed the AABC what was going on, however they do not control that division.
If Teaneck wants to play so badly why not enter the NABA tournament in Philly over labor day, there was one in Cooperstown over July 4th, one in New haven at the end of June. And countless others they could have went too.
In the reply to Dane, Joe Prussin refers to the NABF as a pay as you go league. They charge fees just as the AABC charges fees to play in their tournaments. The NABF has been around since 1914, it is a rival to the AABC. Which league is better I don't know, I do not have a problem with either the NABF or the AABC.
The spot was offered to me, if I had turned it down, they were prepared to take a team from Boston. No other team in our league was going to be offered that spot!!
If any team feels as I mistreated them, you are more than welcome to remove your name from the list and I will take you off the list for 2006
