Believe it or not the Teaneck Stars who couldn't hit sand if they fell off a camel managed to sweep a doubleheader today. Granted it was against Ridgewood, but a sweep is a sweep right??
To top it off Jesse Hildebrandt pitched a NO-HITTER in the 2nd game allowing the stars to win 3-0. He was ONE PITCH away from a perfect game, but the umpire was not going to let it happen as he called a 3-2 pitch that was at the knees and on the corner a ball, breaking up the Perfect Game.
The sweep puts Teaneck in good shape for one of the playoff spots and all but eliminates Ridgewood from contention.
The Stars needed a 2-out 6 run rally in the bottom of the sixth inning to capture the first game and win 7-5.
I haven't had anything good to write about all year so I figured I had to brag a little after these huge wins.
