Ed, I went to the field myself on wednesday night and swept a few small ponds out with a pushbroom. I have to work on the field at night when nobody is there because as many around the league could testify I went above and beyond getting my field ready for games last year only to be reprimanded by the town and ordered not to touch the field anymore. I went at lunchtime yesterday and there was still standing water on the field and the town guys said they would not be doing any work on the field that day because there was other work to be done. As I said I cant work on the field anymore myself and no one is more aggravated by this than myself. Im sorry there was no game last night, but the way it looked at noon I didnt want you guys coming down to an unplayable field. Next time i will just say f*** the town and get the field ready but I will do so at the risk of losing my permits. Apologies to Ramapo Valley and also to my team, if I knew the field would have been ready in time I would have had the game. Bruce

Ed I also just found out that junior legion played their game at 5 45 which means that their guys must have worked on the field to get it ready for their game. That is the only way that field could have been ready to play on otherwise. It aggravates me more than you think because I got banged for my permit Tuesday also because of the graduation so now I have a gap from last sunday to next thursday with no games. My schedule is going to be HELL for three weeks in July and at 1-9 the last thing my guys need is to be sitting Idle.
