Cards beat the Saints 7-1 in the Opening Game

Jim and Chuck Comprelli combined for 4 hits, 3 RBI's, 3 stolen bases
and 5 runs scored, as the Cardinals beat the Saints 7-1. Joe Reid
pitched the 1st 6 innings giving up just 2 hits and SO 9 batters. Ed
Riley pitched a perfect 7th to close the show.

The Saints actually took the lead in the top of the 3rd inning on a
RBI single by Lucas Cittone scoring PJ Anzelone. The Cards came
back in the bottom of the 3rd when Chuck Comprelli Tripled and
scored on a Sac Fly by Nick Urbanovich.

The score remained that way until the bottom of the 5th, when the
Cards scored 3 runs on Singles by Chris Pishoulis, Chuck Comprelli, a
Sac by Nick Urbanovich, a Fielder Choice by Jim Comprelli and an
Error.

The Cards scored another 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning
when Pishoulis and Chuck Comprelli singled and Jim Comprelli drove
both of them in with another Single. Jim Comprelli scored the final
run when Mike Rucci hit a long double.

The Cardinals beat the Saints 2 straight games to win our League Championship.

Dan Urabnovich went the distance, giving up just 1 run on 6 hits, while SO 5.

The Cards jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the 2nd inning with a lead off double by Andy Escala, followed by single by Chris Psihoulis. They were both driven in by Nick Urabnovich's single and after a wild pitch, he scored on Jim Comprelli's infield single.

The Cards scored another run in the 3rd when Andy Escala drove in Joe Mazzo.

The Saints scored their only run in the bottom of the 3rd when Nick BenVenuto walked and after 2 wild pitches, scored on the single by
Christian Diaz.

The Cards scored their 5th and final run in the top of the 6th inning when Chuck Comprelli walked, Nick Urabnovich singled, and then Mike Rucci was intentionally walked and then Joe Mazzo was walked on a 3-2 pitch.

The MVP of the Championship Tournament goes to Jim Comprelli, who was 3 for 7, with 4 RBI's, 2 Runs scored and stole 3 bases.
