Regretfully the Belleville Indians wont be back next year in any form. I will not be able to run a team as my personal life will take precedence with a new baby coming in February and my professional career may be changing paths. I had every intention of helping this league and making things better but with alot of uncertainty I would rather just make a decision now rather than trying and possibly screwing up the progress the league is making. I hope I can be around as a player or even help someone else out but that will be determined as we get closer to next year. At this point in my life running a team may be biting off more than I can chew. I have a family to worry about and I hope everyone understands. Good luck to all. Bruce Daddis

Im not sure whats going to be up with me for next year yet. I am afraid that baseball is turning me into a bitter nasty troll. Its a possibility that when the time rolls around for next year I may want to make a commitment but at this point I dont want to make a commitment and then drop it. Get back to me as the time gets closer I really dont know at this point...

Ed, Normally I'm a cold, calleous person but I wish you would reconsider retiring from baseball. What the hell else are you gonna do? Hang with your wife, thats real fun. I don't know how you can turn it off that easily. You should really give it another year. If I can catch a full season till age 45 you can stand in the dugout keeping the beer cold for a few more. richard,
not that easy turning it off. I've said I was hanging them up for 4 years now, and just couldn't do it. This year was a little different. It stopped being fun going to the park every night. Told myself when that was the case, it's over. Too many premaddonna's and too many headaches and way to much bullshit for summer basebal.
so it's RP softball full time for me now.
Ed
p.s.-i coach a kid on my USA team that asked me if I ever heard of Mr. Lutz, says he had you as a teacher....poor kid can't even tie his shoes, good job!

Thanks for the invite Ed, Im not sure if I put in enough time with the league to hang with the legendary members but I would be honored to do some tailgating. Im not much of a heckler but I ll bring my head dress and drum anyway....
