Hey Ed haven't spoken to you in a long time hope all is well. By the way your posts on the RPSA are hilarious..

Getting back to the matter at hand. Yes they were affiliated at one time and their are 3 sides to every story, I took offense to Bruce degrading the NJABL. If I am correct he was the one who was folding his team and also I believe he wanted to get on a roster in the NJABL. He comments on how our league is so weak yet he openly admits to recruiting from it. So I don't understand.

The bottom line is the NJABL has a strong bond between the 16 teams involved. Whenever anything comes up it is addressed as a democracy with an open mind. We don't need to be bashed because we are succeeding in obtaining our goal. That goal is playing amateur baseball.

My comments were more directed at a select few than your league as a whole. I never said there wasnt any talent in the NJABL, I was merely saying that top to bottom there is deeper talent in our league. It was a knee jerk reaction to an e mail I received from a certain administrator in your league that was sarcastic and took a shot at our league by saying we always lose playoff games to the njabl. I wasnt bashing your league and I genuinely apologize if it seemed that way. I was trying to recruit players to stop my team from folding because I agree with Jon Vatcher that maybe the leagues should work together to either create one great league or do a National vs American league type of deal. So yes I respect the NJABL because there are guys who love to play baseball in that league and there is good baseball. I took exception when my post was erased on the NJABL message board asking for people interested in hooking up with my team for next year and in turn received a nasty sarcastic e mail from an administrator whos name I am withholding just not to start any type of war of words. Im all for either working together with your league to create on ebig one or challenge your league just to juice up the competition. Lastly I would play in your league on any nights I didnt have Met League games because I love to play and for reasons of integrity I never put myself in the lineup with my own team when I have 9 other guys who came to play. So please dont feel that I have any animosity towards your league, its more towards the select few I have encountered and also what was written to Rick Lutz on the NJABL forum along with some other posts were in poor taste. I truly apologize and I will word things better in the future as to not make anybody feel that way.
