If I am invited, next Thursday I can not make it because I also run the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame and we have our meetings every 4th Thursday. I am free Monday or Wednesday night next week. (Tuesday night I have a Church meeting & Friday I am Ring Announcing and then I will be away on vacation for several days.).
Also, some of the things Jon Vatcher brings up, I tried to do. I always wanted the managers, not me to run the League. They should vote on just about everything that concerns the betterment of our League and when we did have meetings, they did.
The 1st year I was in the League, 2001, we had official score keepers which I asked for, but the next year the teams voted against them.
I also brought up high school players from each town playing for every team. The two other people incharge voted that down. I brought this up at one of the old Met League meetings too.
I also had an annual awards dinner arranged at the Brownstone in Paterson in 2001 but again no one was interested and I cancelled it.
In 2003, when I took over, I wanted Big Mike to come too, but I was knocked down on that too.
I was always in favor of the winning team to pick which Tournament they wanted to go to and I think Angelo is too! I really don't think that is a problem.
Last year we voted on our playoff system and we went with the NCCA brackets and everyone agreed on.
There other teams that want to join us next year and I hope Hackensack does return.
Thanks once again for all your support, Henry
