I will not go on a profanity laced tirade as is customary when I am upset, but rather just let my intentions be known. Due to a lack of both commitment and talent with the Belleville Indians and this miserable season I no longer feel that next year will include a Belleville team. After last season I felt we could only get better, but with the loss of a few good guys from last year it did not happen. I had every intention of making this a better league and bringing Met league baseball back to Belleville. I remember when I was about 10 and seeing the Twins play at Belleville High and thats what I wanted to bring back. The reality is that it just can't happen, I have put forth so much time and effort taking away from my wife and son, and I can't get a fraction of that back from 9 guys. I have had enough. Unless somebody else takes over there will be no Indians next year. I look at teams like Ramapo Valley and Hackensack and think that those are the types of guys I need to be around.. Guys my age or older who still LOVE to play baseball. I think thats great and thats what I would want for myself. I will focus on catching on somewhere else next year and focus on playing the game I love without the stress of calling my whole roster every morning to see if any combination of 9 will show up. I will refer the guys I could rely on to any team who would like to pick them up. The others I won't. Best of luck to the rest of the league and maybe I ll be around next year with someone else. So these two final games will be the last for our Passaic River Warriors. I am sorry to dissappoint good fans like nukelaloosh but I have to make decisions best for our organization. I will encourage my players to sign autographs on all officially licensed Indians memorabilia as a token of gratitude for our fans.
