half the guys drafted in 2005 were born AFTER I graduated high school...............

Hope all is well...what's going on with the league...what teams are coming back etc? Have you talked to the other league..Musial?..about combining again?

Hows it goin Vatch. Good to hear from you. League is good. We are gonna play Ramapo Valley, Haledon, Teaneck, and Cresskill 7 times each with all 5 teams going to a regional. Season starts June 1st and ends July 31st but rule is you can only play 5 games before July 1st then you play 6 games a week in july. state playoffs determine which team goes to which regional with Haledon hosting the AABC World Series. The regional is 47 team round robin so each league in the mid atlantic region is represented by their top 4 teams. New AABC rule is that every team that pays an entry fee to a league goes to a regional. Only criteria is 9 living breathing bodies.
As far as the league, their are no more league meetings we communicate by telepathy now. Only problem if you weren't born with that gift you have to guess all new business. Which can be fun I guess. the rulebook is sort of like the recipe for coca-cola. we all know it exists but only Angelo and the new AABC president know the contents, which they kindly share as needed or the situation comes up, which is good this way there are no arguments on the rules because no one knows what they are.
Otherwise all is good league is flourishing everyone is happy. If you want to shoot the shit.... think to me or if you don't have that gift gimme a call 201-497-8491

That has to be one of the funniest things I have ever read. Rick, you are a genius. It's also sad that most of what you wrote has truth to it.
Vatch, good to see you are still alive. I have not seen you on the forum this early in the year. My guess is you want to get involved. I think that would be a great thing.

Quick update,
The league has apparently added, or is in the process of adding a couple teams. Looks like Cape May, Cherry Hill, and Montauk,NY are in. Only thing is none of them have lights so the weekdays games there are 6pm starts. And as a bonus to entice them to join the league is giving them 21 home games out of the 28 for the season. I'll keep you posted as I learn more.

Joe,
Girls hoops has a nice run going. Don't really want to get involved as much as I want the league to do well but I beleive that starts with getting back together with the Musial league. Otherwise the league will be on life support for the next 2 maybe 3 years until it folds. There is not much room for error at this point!!!! My guess is that there are at least 2 teams not coming back this year which leaves how many?
This is unfolding the exact same way as the Met League did before the folding/merger. Planning needs to start SOON.
